The narrative of mankind is important. We talk, we listen. We read, we write. Communication is the most important quality of living organisms. It is a glue, it is how we gain identity, survive, and learn.
From that perspective I want to share and interact with you. I am a writer and a listener. We learn more from the question than the answer, while true value comes from the dialogue. My hope is that with this blog I can find added value within our dialogues.
It is not my intent to teach or lecture, rather to learn and look at things from other angles.
“I don’t have a great imagination to share something with you that you don’t know, so it’s about interpreting things – a dialogue” ~ Nate Lowman
My real name is Marinus, but my parents call me Marco from birth, so I am really Marco. I grew up in a small town in the Netherlands, and a good way to escape was to read. I have been writing short stories and poetry since high school and I will continue to do so. In addition, I have published several academic peer-reviewed articles in respectable journals. I am working on my lyric sequence “My Opaque Dreams” and a SciFi novel. After working as a postdoctoral researcher on pharmaceutical proteins at the University of Helsinki, I am now a senior scientist at VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland working on biobased solutions to tackled the global problems of our time. I reside here with my heroic wife and three magical children.
So please I plead with you to read my ramblings and let me listen to you. Follow my blog, subscribe, interact, but please comment. The true value of a blog lies in the dialogue.
